Tagong Monastery is the monastery belonging to Sajia Sect of Tibetan Buddhism. It was first built in Qing Dynasty, and it is said the Buddha’s statue was brought there by Wencheng Princess in Tang Dynasty. It is also named “Small Jokhang Monakstery”. Tagong means the place where the Buddha love to visit.
